The Corsair Kangook paramotor frame virtually eliminates the undesirable torque effects usually experienced with powerful motors.
It is the result of Alex Varv's modifications to an RSUltra Kangook frame, which he flew with a Black Devil engine and Sun Sails harness, and then amended to make something nearer the "perfect paramotor".
Alex runs Aerocorsair USA, a non-profit forum through which paramotorists can share their paramotor innovations and improvements.
By offsetting both the engine and the risers, and using a modified but less radical version of Kangook's gooseneck pitch-stabilising swinging arms, horizontal torque effects are virtually eliminated.
Jeff Goin demoed the modified Kangook at Salton Sea, and said, "Torque twist sucks, and in that area [eliminating it], Alex unquestionably has succeeded in Spades". He added, "You've got to fly it to believe it".
