French paramotor manufacturer Adventure have released a new lithium-ion battery that will power their electric starter systems for 200 starts without the need for recharging.
It can be used with their current X-race, XT and X-100 models, as well as their older Raket, M and F motors.
The company say the battery has "truly amazing power". Tests in their schools have shown a single charge to last for "months and months" and, what is more, they are only around half the weight of an equivalent nickel metal hydride (NiMH) battery.
The battery's power is 2,300 milliamps for 14.8 volts.
The 2300 mA Lithium-ion battery costs 80 €, and the charger is 59 €.
Adventure fit all of their paramotors with electric starters, as they feels it is a great safety asset. If your motor does not have one, Adventure sell a kit that weighs only 1kg more than a manual starter.
