The Thrust III is the latest incarnation of Apco's Afnor Standard rated wing that was especially designed for paramotor use.
It is equipped with Apco's SRS (Stall Recovery System), an important in-flight safety feature but one which Apco say also has benefits on launch, making hands-off launching a doddle. The company go so far as to say the wing has "foolproof" launchability in all wind conditions.
They also say ground-handling is a doddle, and the Thrust III will sit overhead, even with very little wind, until the pilot is ready to accelerate into the air.
In the air, the company say the Thrust III has light and precise handling and responds willingly to the engine's thrust, with smooth acceleration.
They add that it also flies well without power, you just need to change the risers over to a paragliding-specific set, which they can supply.
