Dudek say their new Hadron is a fast and agile, high-level paramotor wing for experienced pilots who fly several hundred hours a year, and who love playing over the ground, slaloming, foot-dragging and wingovering.

It is designed for competition pilots and record-hunters seeking “perfect handling and efficiency”. In fact the first prototypes, released in early June, went on to win the French and Polish open championships, in the experienced hands of Pascal Vallee and Grzegorz Krzyżanowski respectively.

Pascal was closely involved in its design. He describes it as having “light and precise steering, even minimal brake bringing a steep turn” and being “very responsive to weightshift”. He added, “The Hadron is firm and stable in difficult, turbulent conditions. I experienced not a single deflation during speed task at the Polish Open, flown at full speed in pretty rough air”.

It’s efficiency and low power consumption also make it very good for economy and speed/economy tasks, according to Pascal.

The Hadron uses a Reflex aerofoil for turbulence-resistance, and synthetic rods in the leading edge help its launch characteristics,

The series production wings will use traditional brake steering, but the company say the Hadron can also use their ALC alternative steering, or TST tip steering methods, which are useful when the glider is being flown at speed.

Dudek are planning five sizes of the wing, ranging from 20 to 28m2. The two smallest ‘slalom’ sizes (20 and 22m2) are being made first, and the company say they should be ready from mid-July.

The Hadron will be built, like all of their wings, at their Polish plant, and is the first paraglider to benefit from their new laser-cutting tool.
